Operating a small, independent business during a pandemic has posed some lesser-than-ideal scenarios for us, and many others, to say the least. Some of these instances include the need to make some tough decisions when necessary, though none of which would ever take precedent over the safety of our staff, guests, and community. In saying this, it’s come to our attention that one of our staff members has recently tested positive for COVID-19. This person was last in the restaurant on Sunday, August 30th.
After learning about their potential exposure on September 2nd, outside of the restaurant and before showing up to service the following week, this person has remained in self-quarantine. After originally learning about the potential transmission, our entire staff received testing — all of which showed a negative result. Taking into consideration the possibility of an elongated incubation period, we have all been tested again, some of which have returned a second negative, and others still waiting for results. Furthermore, and just to be 100% sure, we have decided to go through a third round of testing this week to make sure there are no false-negatives. After we’ve all been cleared a third time, we will then resume our regularly scheduled programming of Lexington Social Shenanigans as per usual.
After we weather this storm please know that our staff will continue to undergo weekly testing – as we have for the past several months – in order to provide the safest dining experience for all involved.
During the next week we will be administering a deep cleaning of the premises, dreaming up new menus, and enjoying some much needed time with family. Make sure to check back for updates on future reservation availability and pictures of food and drink you can’t yet enjoy. Thank you for understanding and we look forward to seeing everyone again soon.
